A Happy Birthday Day

Yesterday was Trever's 5th Birthday!!!
We started off the day with our traditional "Pancakes for Birthday's" breakfast.
Then I took the boys to the store to pick out a new toy with the money Trever got from all his wonderful grandparents. He bought this awesome Iron Man action figure!

Nathan decided he needed a little something too, so he walked away with a new mini basketball hoop and ball.
Back at home, Trever was more than eager to help me bake his birthday cake.
The boys played with their new toys while the cake was baking and then we went to the park.

They played long and hard and had fun, fun, fun!
~
Once TJ returned home that evening, Trever was more than ready to dig into his cake.
Nathan was just as eager!

Trever wanted the piece with the Iron Man face, which happened to be in the very center of the cake. Silly kid.
Then the cake-, or should I say frosting-, tasting began......

Haha. Yeah, Trever loves frosting. He hardly touched the actual cake, but was savoring every bit of the colorful frosting. Nathan on the other hand, kept his entire concentration on clearing that plate, bite by bite.

There's one satisfied little guy.
~
Then it was off to Chuck E. Cheese's!

I took this video clip after they had already played 6 or 7 rounds. Boys!

TJ kept shootin' hoops after the boys had finished, until he broke the standing record, and then broke his own record. Check out those tickets!!!
~
Once we got home, we ended the day with a grand finale...
Presents!!!
The bat and pocket pliers tool are from TJ. But, not to worry, TJ is holding the pliers for fishing trips only.
And that concludes Trever's Happy Birthday Day. I still can't believe he's 5 years old. I am so proud of the great kid he's growing up to be. He's so fantastic in so many ways and I just love spending time with him. He makes me feel like the luckiest Mom in the world!

Happy Birthday Trever!

I can't believe he is getting so big! Congrats on another wonderful family birthday. Does this mean we will be having another un-birthday for Nathan soon? :)
