Burgers In Cheyenne

Just for the heck of it,

we drove up to Cheyenne, WY yesterday.

We'd never driven through the city and were curious to see what it was like. I wish I'd taken a picture of the fair grounds there! They have the biggest, fanciest Rodeo stadium I've ever seen. Every summer, Cheyenne holds a big rodeo event called Frontier Days that's a pretty big deal, and their stadium proved it! We missed it last summer, but are looking forward to joining in on the fun this year.

While driving around the quaint, country western town, we'd gathered up quite the appetite. TJ had a hankering for a good burger, and we happened to fall upon this little restaurant: "2 Doors Down."

They had burgers galore! It was quite the specialty menu, too--a lot of original stuff!

TJ ordered himself a big ol' Peppercorn Burger, while I tried out the Avocado Bacon Burger; both came with bottom-less steak fries, which we didn't even need to order more of, since the burgers were huge! 

Trever ordered Mac & Cheese & Nathan ordered Corn Dogs.

The restaurant had two big flat-screen TV's, both playing football games, and the boys have never behaved so well! They both ate & watched the games, and Trever commented: "This is my kind of restaurant!" 

Nathan just kept eating, though. He ate BOTH corn dogs! For anyone who knows what a finicky meal eater he is, you know how impressive this was! He ate most of his fries, too!

TJ decided it must be the football game that got him to eat so well.

haha. Maybe so... 

Both boys were pretty pumped up about the cool atmosphere (thus the macho man poses above), but still managed to behave themselves. In fact, they were the best they've ever been in a restaurant. It was awesome! They sat--and stayed--in their chairs, ate their food, talked & laughed with their "inside voices" and were just so darn good!

This was a milestone for us. TJ and I used to dread taking the boys to restaurants because they'd act out so wildly, but yesterday gave us hope that those days are coming to an end. The boys are actually turning into civilized little beings! haha. Anyway, it was a nice afternoon and we got to see what Cheyenne was all about.
