Family in March

Well, March just flew by for us!
First we anticipated my sister Candice's visit, with her hubby & cute daughter.
We had loads of fun while they were here!

Little Miss Ave even got to join the boys for
our annual Shamrock Treasure Hunt!
Look Mom, Gold Coins!
We were out and about with Candice & Co. all weekend, having loads of fun, and staying up way too late each night, talking and laughing! We're so glad they were able to come stay with us!
~
As soon as they went home, we started packing for our trip to Idaho for Spring Break!
(I passed Nathan packing his suitcase FULL of toys, a couple days before we left. I said, "Nathan, what are you doing?" And he said, "I'm packing!" haha. Of course!)
When we got there, we spent the first day with TJ's family,
hiking the Menan Buttes!
The weather was wonderful & so was our company!
It was so great to spend such a fun day with them all!

We went "back and forth, back and forth" (as Nathan put it)
between TJ's family and mine,
throughout the week.
So, the next day, we had dinner with my family.
It was so exciting to see everyone & there was lots of laughter!
I didn't get photos of everything we did with each of our families,
but we weren't bored for a minute!
One day, we even went out to a field to scoop manure/fertilizer with TJ's dad. haha
It was actually really fun, though.
The boys had a blast running through the wide open field!

Another day, we went to my dad's work to see what he does all day.
He & my brother Riley weld for a company in Rigby.
It's some pretty tough work!
And the boys were pretty impressed!

Another fun thing we did was spend an afternoon on horseback.
TJ even rode bareback (no saddle!).
He actually did pretty good....until we started trotting and he just about bounced right off the back! haha!
You should have seen his face!
(I was actually pretty impressed that he even dared go bareback in the first place!)
I was really impressed with Trever, too, who rode Captain all by himself! He's quite the little cowboy!Nathan, on the other hand, is a wild Indian! He was sitting in front of me and kept yanking the reins out of my hands, shaking them up and down, and shouting "Go, Go, Go!!!" hahaha

Something the boys REALLY wanted to do was go to the Dinosaur Exhibit at the I.F. Museum, so TJ's parents were so kind to treat us to the fun-filled adventure!
Trever was on cloud nine when he got to see the model of the "T. Rex named Sue!"
He's read so much about this particular dinosaur, so seeing it in real life was so exciting for him!
Can ya tell? haha
Trever & Nathan's cousins from my side of the family were able to join us that day, too.
We sure had our hands full! haha

So, those are just a few of the photos from our Spring Break in Idaho....and just a few of the things we did, too! I wish I had stayed to take some pictures of the big BonFire that TJ's parents had with all of their cousins. (TJ & I were out on a date.) They had a big sleep over that night, too! We also had a BBQ and a big family breakfast and went out to dinner and spent time talking and laughing with TJ's family, too!
With my family, we also had a Family Home Evening & build-your own pizza night, an afternoon of swimming, and even an early Easter Egg Hunt!
We missed TJ's brother & his family who were away on vacation, that same week. And we missed my Grandma & Grandpa Plocher, who we were hoping to see on our way back home. But we were grateful for those we did see and for all the fun times we shared with them. It was a wonderful, exciting, busy, and fun-filled week! We wished we had another week to spend there, so we could see more of our families.
But, it was nice to get home from our "vacation" this week and get some rest! haha
We love you all, miss you already, and hope to see those of you we missed during our next visit!
