Last week, Trever turned 6. Next week, Nathan will turn 4.
So, this year, TJ and I decided to combine the boys' birthday parties. So, last weekend, we threw a Pirate Party for Trever & Nathan with all of their cousins from the Martin family....
First, we needed to discover where our treasure was buried.
A game of "Pin the Flag on the Map" got us on the right track...
Next, we needed to get in shape for our treasure hunt, so we practice by having a Three-Legged Race....
Then, we were off to find our clues to the treasure, running through the house and all around the yard....
Reading clue after clue, until....
We discovered the TREASURE!!!
Arg! Hurah!!! The Treasure, Matey's!
But this treasure box was missing it's key.
The only way to get to the treasure inside was to
hang it up and smash it open...
hang it up and smash it open...
Here be the treasure box,
made to outlast the seven seas,
broken one day at a pirate party....
And here be the pirates that broke that treasure box,
sorting their loot and trading, to boot...
To top it all of we broke out the cake...
A candle for the soon-to-be 4 year old,
A candle for the already 6 year old....
Then, for the final treasure of the day: PRESENTS!
(Captains Trever & Nathan had been anticipating this part the most!)

Many THANKS to all the pirates and their parents for the fun gifts and the great company!
We had an unforgettable time!
~
Now, to throw another party with the Ploc-her side tomorrow.....
